Registrations needed for continued vaccination clinics and Errors in Registering Discovered

Posted 03/17/21

Marshall County is needing people to continue to register with the State of West Virginia for vaccines.  We will continue once again on Monday, 3/22, to reach out to people registered to receive vaccines.  As our numbers of registrations drop, we have to make multiple attempts to reach out to people.  As of this time, anyone 16 and older can register for the vaccine.

We will reach out via the county automated system letting people know there are openings available and to call back to schedule an appointment.  Once all appointments are filled, calls will no longer be accepted.

As it stands right now, we have to attempt to make contact with those who have registered first and then down the list.  We have been finding that many people who have registered are either not answering their phone or just simply ignoring contact attempts by us.  This has lead us to needing to find younger and younger individuals to fill our clinic schedules.

Errors doscovered in registrations

We have discovered in talking with some people that they had failed to register as a resident of Marshall County when registering with the State or when submitting their registrations online.  When someone does not register as a resident of Marshall County, they are not pulled into our list to call.  Additional reasons some people may have not been contacted is that the phone number registered in the system is not correct, leading us to calling an incorrect number.

If you are unsure if you have registered as a resident of Marshall County or if your contact information is incorrect, you can either login to your account at vaccinate.wv.gov or you can call the West Virginia COVID-19 Vaccine Info Line for help at 1-833-734-0965. The info line is open Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  They can assist you in determining if you registered a county.

PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT MAKE MULTIPLE REGISTRATIONS

This only causes you to be contact many, many more times once you have been scheduled as we have to continue to reach out to each and every "version" of yourself that has been registered.
